LIVE updates on Jammu and Kashmir floods: Army chief General Suhag to visit Srinagar today to review rescue operations
Over 200 people have died and thousands are stranded across the state, including Srinagar.
Here are live updates on the flood situation in the state:
10:40 am: More than 250 government employees of Jammu, including 90 women and children are trapped in government quarters in Tulsi Bagh, opposite Bakshi Stadium in Srinagar.
10:16 am: Neither I have brought rain nor I can stop it. No time for politics today. If they (opposition) have solution to the problem then they can inform me: Omar Abdullah.
10:13 am: The flood situation is very serious in the state, says Jammu and Kashmir CM Omar Abdullah.
10:04 am: General Suhag would take stock of relief and relief operations being conducted by Army, IAF and NDRF and will be briefed by GOC-in-C Lt Gen DS Hooda.

09:30 am: No rescue operation has been launched in south Kashmir area in Valley where massive devastation has taken place. The area includes Pulwama, Pampore, Kakpura, Lathipora, Sangam and Awantiputa.

08:30 am: A total of 61 IAF choppers and transport aircraft undertook 451 sorties non-stop overnight to carry men and relief material to submerged parts of the Valley where about one lakh troops were engaged in the rescue operations: Defence Spokesman Col SD Goswami.
